Cant mention names and on a private track the other day, seen a ride (BA) pulling 285KM in front of my eyes and it wasnt full throttle. very possible indeed, but you never would do this on a public road.

there were a few bumps in the track and the rears left the road for a split second and shifted a little sideways at the back ( at 285 k's ) so time to back off, other than that stuck like glue and all good.

That would have to be a 6 speed, No way of doing that speed with one overdrive!

This has been proven not to work. Also if it reflects the camera flash, what happens during the day? No flash! Also at night the police will notice it with their head lights!!

The Speed Camera's do flash during the day aswell. They must use a flash, it wouldn't pick up cars if it didn't.

Bet you could find a" Fuwwy sik" VL with twin air horns thats done it down Canterbry Road, with 5 mates on board. Just ask in the local Maccas car park, someones uncle/cousin would have done it.

Insane!

Apparantly if you put hair spray on your number plates, speed camera's wont pick it up, because the spray is reflective and the flash reflects with it causing it to brighten out or something.

i have read in a mag that a multinova can clock something doing over 700km/h so i dont think anyone will be beating one of them unless u want to set a new land speed record

i think there would be one or two members cars on this forum that if were set up right might just hit the mark. not that they would be trying to do this. but it would be good to see on a runway not on the street

Here’s one of them. A genuine 170 MPH supercar. Capable of hosing Enzo’s, McLaren F1’s and anything with a NISM sticker on it. :hihi:

Cheers, Danny

Done a high speed run in my car while in "MEXICO", limited to 245k's and it was smooth as for the good minute i sat on that speed. That was when it was stock, with a fair bit more grunt on board and a deleted speed limiter i dont see why mine couldn't reach 28ok's.

In Saying that im not going to go find a speed camera and have a go at it, well not till the brembo's go on anyway. And yes that guy did get caught doing 228kph in the M5 tunnel. Done it 5 days in a row at about 3am and dogded a few police road blocks but some how ended up getting caught.

The guys on the Mythbusters show tried heaps of stuff and none of it worked. If anything, it enhanced the radar reading.
