Hey all,
I'm in need of a new cam and was wondering what companies are recommended and which ones to steer clear of. Currently has a Schneider Racing cam from the US, was looking to source something locally if possible. Looking for a billet solid roller. Cheers |

Have you tried Crow Cams in Melbourne? They should have something to suit.

With all those variables in your selected engine, I would be looking for recommendations from a respected race engine builder and their specifications that is going to suit your rev range, compression ratio, and power specs.

See i've contacted the shop that built the engine and they are highly respected in the racing industry, been around for ever and build/prep quite a few TCM cars but there talking best part of $3k and even that's a very rough estimate to replace cam and dizzy gear, dyno/re tune etc. $750 for the cam and gear etc, So that's over $2k in just labour. Maybe i'm missing something Not sure on current rates but that seems a little excessive, but as i said i could be wrong. |

Prices seem highish but you could be paying a bit for their experience.
May save you in the long run. As you know, motor racing is never cheap.
