Does anyone have a bonnet protector on their Focus?
I bought one today from Ford but a bit worried about installing it ...lots of metal clips and vinyl tape that I'm concerned will damage the paint. Does anyone think it actually works for deflecting stones etc? |

Dad had one on his Subaru. I don't think it helped with chips but did make it hard to clean.

I thought about a bonnet protector but decided against it and fitted a chrome strip instead,... looks great

I have one on my 2010 LV MKII, alas it's an EGR branded smoke-coloured one, not a Ford accessory. Mine has quite a few stone chips in it, so I would presume the answer is yes, it does its job.
If it's installed properly shouldn't do any damage at all...the little plastic strips ensure that... Mick |
