HSC Exams,
Whose doing them, and what are you doing?

I had my first exam today, engineering studies. I felt i went pretty well, thought it was all relitively easy except for the telecomunications section.
Anybody else do this today and what were your thoughts?

Cheers

To quote my brother:
"Modules can get (expletive)ed " (in reference to English).

I'm glad the HSC is a few years behind me now.

Most I ever learned in school was in English. I had a good yr 12 teacher though.

VCE was easy as.. I didn't do any work apart from what was required (SAC's etc) and most I just got notes for at the last minute. Still aced most my exams, got a pretty poor enter though!

Thank god for high paying factories, ha.

I did my HSC in 1988. Got 314/500 in those days, enough to get into BSc at any uni I wanted. Ironically, the lowest rated uni course then was Nursing, with an entry mark of only 250. Now it's one of the hightest uni marks.

In the previous 2-odd years, I scraped passes in every assessable English subject (2 Unit General English, didn't at ALL understand the concepts) and FAILED every Economics task (once again, didn't understand, and couldn't stand the cow of a teacher). When I opened THE ENVELOPE, failed English, passed Economics. Go figure!

I did, however, get into BHP Steel and completed my Associate Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. The HSC isn't the be all and end all.

For everyone looking for work next year. don't forget the Air Force. For Uni people (maybe a bit late to consider, but next year's applications??) look to the Australian Defence Force Academy for your degrees. Start at www.defencejobs.gov.au and naviagte from there.

As a former Navy sailor (got out while I had my sanity), I cannot in good faith recommend enlisting in the RAN. Joining as a Midshipman (Officer under training) via ADFA Undergraduate, or one of the positions that don't need a degree, may be alright, but no non-commissioned enlisting. No matter WHAT money they try to throw at you.

Git stuffed Section 3, Unexpected detours, My way of thinking is completely different to that. Barely even did a conclusion, 3 lines worth.
Freaking hard one, section 1 was hard but section 2 was a bit easier.

HSC here too.

Did Engineering Exam on Thursday as well. I too found it easier (but also different) compared to other years, but people on boredofstudies found it hard..weird.

English was OK. I was worried for Section 3 when I saw it, as it didn't fit my prepared response. But I managed to cover my *** well. The only problem is that you can't really answer the question "To what extent..." and have a strong thesis. It's usually one or the other.

Can't wait to finish English on Monday, then Business on Tuesday. Then I've only got Maths Ext2, Maths Ext1 and Physics (which are subjects I don't mind studying for) and I'm done . Good luck all.

Yeah it wasn't that bad.

I'm surprised with how much I remembered.

I was worried about Wilfred Owen's poetry, but I think I done alright.

The exam I'm dreading is Maths. In the trial I got an appauling 19 1/2 out of I think it was 90.

I'm doing Senior Science this afternoon. Actually throughout the year I came 4th. Not to shabby.

Only three exams left now!

I can't believe the overall easiness of the 2007 HSC so far! Every subject seems to have set the easiest papers out of recent years. Engineering, English and Business - All relatively easy papers!
