Red face Mother's Day Mishaps...

Anyone have a Mother's Day Mishap?

I did.

Thought it would be nice to make Mum dinner, slicing up some meat, go to wash the knife. Washed, no problem. Drying the thing though...

I had the sharp side facing my right hand, and it slipped, and now, I have a nice 5cm gash between my thumb and pointing finger.

Dinner was cooked though, and was quite tasty.

hahaha, we were just discussing the "mothers day mishaps" on Saturday night. We have had a few (hospital trips included) but none this year.

well we were out on my GFs parents farm. outside having a smoke and we can hear this guy screamin. look around and theres someone running through the paddocks yellin for help. go over to him to find out he's rolled his 4WD and his GF has a badly cut hand but the boy is alright. jump in the car and race down the road to see the 4WD sitting on its roof, kid on the side of the road and woman trying to get some mobile phone service, but with a bit of blood on her. checked to make sure no one was trapped, then checked her but she was ok apart from the badly cut hand. the kid was fine, like nothing had happened. checked out the car and looked for petrol leakes and so forth but ther was none so i climbed in and turned off the ignition and grabbed a bit of their stuff out for them. fair bit of blood on the roof though and glass everywhere.
their parents turned up to assist. rang the cops but they didnt see the point of coming out so the guy rang his insurance and a tow truck since it was a complete write off. we pulled it back on its wheels with the tractor and removed the rest of their belongings and then dragged it off the road altogether. this all happened about 40kms out of town in the sticks so once everything was organised they were taken home and the woman was taken to the doctor. we seen the towy heading out on our way home about 3 hours later and then also seen the 4WD on the back of it at Henna St later on.
well that was our exciting day!
