This is the ute i have just bought, but not yet in my possesion. I'm extremely excited but looking at the photos i hav of it i got a bit suspicious over the fact that i cant remember seeing any XR6 utes with the 'supercab' badge behind the doors that mine has
The ute also has Tickford dash in it which makes me feel a little more confident. Should i be suspicious that this is actually not an XR?? |

Fitting of the front bar looks odd and the lack of side skirts would make me think... but that maybe be standard?

AS far as I know, the do have the supercab sticker fitted. Does it have a Tickford build plate next to the radiator header tank?

Mate it should be fine. First thing I did was to check Redbook to see if there was an XR6 supercab, Check your exact year and specs but I found this:

Theres a tell tale crease right in the middle of the number plate that could explain the slight misalignment on the bumper. Looks like it may have driven into a tow bar at low speed. My car has one too! lol

yeh cheers fellas, as i said i dont actually hav the car home so i can't check on some of this stuff, front bumper alignment was one of the first things we noticed, i think previous owner nicked a sign on the drivers side so that would explain that. Its got Tickford dash, tickford rocker cover, 6 stacker etc so i should be pretty safe.
P.S: im gonna line that bumper up just right as soon as i get it home |

What year is it? the missus old ute was a 2000 AU2 XR8 and it had the supercab stickers there, where as my ute, very early 01 doesnt.
You will find the AU1's and early AU2's would have them there. |
