Default Re: Tickford Brake upgrade help

I stand by my post, just going on my personal experience. Thanks AlfaRomeoGTV6 for quoting it and thanks BZINGA for linking the older thread in here.

One thing is for certain and that is there's more to it than "yes you need brackets" or "no you don't need brackets."

It seems there are at LEAST three different uprights. The T1 uprights (no brackets, caliper on trailing edge), whatever is on my car (no brackets, previously standard brakes, calipers on leading edge) and whatever uprights are fitted to AU3/T3's with the caliper on the trailing edge but brackets required.

Do what I did... Take the wheel off, unbolt the caliper and hang it from some wire (so you don't need to disconnect the brake line as this will just be a look-see/test-fit), remove the original disc, put new larger disc in place and see if the Tickford caliper will line up. If it all lines up then release the kraken.

Good luck.
