So my point exactly, mr smith, (not really). Mental illness is not,as far as I'm aware ,used as an excuse for the issues you have referenced above on a regular basis. If the "average joe", caught "doing something wrong" is the context by which we are judging people, then isn't that a little arbitrary for us. I'm sure we've all been accused of bad behaiour, to whatever extent, but I'm also sure that we would not have considered ourselves as being victims of some mental illness.
I just think that reading through a lot of threads, that we are very selective and specific on who is deserving of advice and support, and who should be hung drawn and quartered because they are not necessarily "one of us".
