Yep, saw the lighting strike the bush area to the east of Rwy 21 as we were taking off. I've never been on a flight that took off, then levelled out almost immediately for about 5nm before it continued to climb. We went some 35nm to the east of the airport before we tracked north to Port Hedland. One wild flight, bloody fantastic
: It looked really, really dark towards the city and the coast though.
